Frequently asked questions

Is it better to reduce EMI or tenure?

Reducing tenure (keeping the same EMI) saves the most interest. This calculator assumes the EMI stays the same.

When is the best time to prepay?

As early as possible. Interest is highest at the start of a loan, so early prepayments save the most.
